Obioma Okeke

My name is Obioma Linda Okeke and I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Education UMass Boston- Bachelors in Exercise & Health Sciences. Northeastern University- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Regis College- Master of Science in Nursing, magna cum laude.

My ideal clients include individuals experiencing behavioral and mental disorders such as anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), PTSD, and depression. I prefer integrating psychotherapy sessions, medication management, and holistic approaches. The ultimate purpose of incorporating the various approaches is to address identified mental health concerns offering comprehensive personalized care based on the specific needs of each client thereby improving their quality of life. The clients want to attain recovery by being more resilient to adequately cope with day-to-day stressors.

As a psychiatric and mental health practitioner, I utilize evidence-based practice to inform my treatment decisions ensuring the provision of the best mental care services with the use of valid and updated information based on the patient’s unique needs. Additionally, I employ cognitive behavioral theory to gain a better understanding of the client’s emotions, thoughts as well as behaviors enabling me to offer individualized care that addresses mental health concerns experienced by the clients. Furthermore, I develop effective treatment plans by utilizing guidelines of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) to inform my diagnosis enhancing overall improvement in patient outcomes. By doing so, I can enhance patient resilience, limit the emergence of complications related to mental and behavioral disorders as well as improve the quality of life for clients.

I am a PMHNP-BC who has an understanding of the positive impact treatment of mental and behavioral disorders has on affected victims, their families, and society. Therefore, I kindly request you to reach out to me to regain and improve your overall well-being and I am very passionate about providing comprehensive, quality, and compassionate mental health services. Seeking support is the first step towards healing and I will walk with you as we explore the best coping strategies to assist you in regaining your mental wellness.
