Michael Puffer, MSW, LCSW, is a Master’s-level clinician and proud alumnus of Salem State University, where he earned his Master’s in Social Work. With extensive experience providing outreach and community-based therapy throughout Boston, Michael has worked with a diverse range of individuals in both office and virtual settings.
Michael specializes in supporting clients navigating eating disorders, substance use and recovery, mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, and a wide range of other mental health concerns. His clinical approach is compassionate, client-centered, and adaptable, utilizing Motivational Interviewing, Role Discovery, and accountability-focused goal setting. Michael integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Attachment-Based theories in individual therapy.
