Christina is a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LICSW) with a Certificate in Trauma Informed Practice. Her practice experience includes working with adults experiencing almost every category of mental health challenge, including anxiety and depressive disorders, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, bi-polar disorder, and PTSD. She also has substantial experience working with people who are struggling with addiction, including those who are struggling with addiction and other mental health diagnoses at the same time. She has particular interest in working with trans-national adoptees navigating the complexities of the adoption-related grief, loss, and trauma. In therapy, Christina calls upon psychodynamic, cognitive and internal family systems theories while also incorporating mindfulness activities.
Christina is passionate about creating a warm, empathic, and collaborative therapeutic alliance that individualizes treatment and helps clients reach their goals. As she continues to grow as a psychotherapist, she is always looking to gain new insight and knowledge to provide the best and most useful interventions for those she serves. Christina earned her Bachelor of Arts from Emmanuel College and her Masters of Social Work from Simmons University.
