Rachel is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with experience working with a variety of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. She has her Masters in Social Work from Simmons University and her Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Worcester State University. Rachel has been in the field since 2011, working in different capacities such as a residential case manager, as an investigator for DCF, admission coordinator for an inpatient rehabilitation program, and most recently as an outpatient clinician at a methadone clinic. Throughout COVID-19, Rachel has supported clients through in-person sessions, and by using telehealth platforms for both group therapy and individual counseling.
Rachel is committed to creating a safe, encouraging, and motivating environment to support individuals working to reach their identified goals. By utilizing interventions and treatments from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused frameworks, she is able to foster a strong therapeutic rapport in a non-judgmental environment.
