Ashley Norby LICSW

Ashley is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with experience working with individuals, children and families. She is trained in the Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI), an evidence-based model that uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to prevent/decrease the severity of PTSD. She has additional expertise in crisis intervention, grief/loss, and parent/family coaching.

Ashley’s prior experience includes working as a Family Advocate for a non-profit organization under the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, as well as working as an inpatient clinical social worker at Boston Children’s Hospital and Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Most recently, she worked as an outpatient clinical social worker at the MGH Cancer Center at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, where she also facilitated a monthly Caregiver Support Group. She feels that the most supportive and effective way to build therapeutic relationships is to start by meeting clients wherever they are in their journey to self-healing.
